The Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration (RPTA) at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo is pleased to announce a new Graduate Assistantship for an energetic student interested in youth development, recreation, and natural areas. The graduate assistant will facilitate a research project aimed at better understanding how diverse youth populations engage with urban and rural natural resources. The graduate student will also be involved in devising strategies for increasing youth connections to local natural areas, particularly via social media and emerging technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a master's degree student interested in youth development, recreation programming, and community-engaged research.  The position would begin in September of 2014.
